Nagarjun thermal power plant , livelihood of neighbours in DANGER !!!

Its a right of every citizen to breath fresh air, eat healthy food, in short lead an happy life.
But the life of the people in the village of Padubidri is not so Happy.
The Naagarjuna thermal power plant has made people restless.

According to activists, the plant was installed on an experimental basis and transports coal by road, in violation to the Clean Coal Technology Act which states that coal can be transported only by conveyor belts. The factory, activists claim, was opened under dubious circumstances. They insist that the non-procurement of Panchayat license for the construction, destruction of forest land and the 'Ash Pond area' problem (where the ash upon burning the coal is dumped, destroying the soil fertility) are other such violations.

Having such projects in densely populated places like Udupi will lead to a lot of health hazards. There are places like Raichur which could be used instead, where the establishment cost would be much lower as well.

There are many problems caused by Nagarjun power plant that need to be taken care of.Its my request to the the concerned officers to rectify all the errors and make the life of people fit for living.

Stop Fishing in the month of July and August !!!!!

Rainy season !!!
Season of love.
Season of life.
In short its a wonderful season.
As appealing the season is to humans, its also loved by the fishes. The time when the monsoons arrive is the ideal time for the fishes to mate and breed.
Fishes like Malabar grouper,Melon butterflyfish,Milk shark,Milkfish etc breed during this time.
Fishing during monsoon will not only kill the mamma fishes but will also lead to extinction of marine life.
The eggs of today are the fishes of tomorrow !!!
If people catch the breeding fish, then how can there be eggs and little fishes in the future??
This is the reason why fisher men would ban fishing during rainy seasons.

People whre in a state of shock fifteen years back when 10 mackerels costed 10 Rupees. But unfortunately the day has come where ONE mackerel cost 10 rupees!!!!
The population of fishes is diminishing day by day.
The day is not far when the whole pisces kingdom will dissapear.

There is a strong necessity  to maintain the balance in the marine eco-system
Its true that fishes really look YUMMY on the plate, but it looks much more beautiful when they are in ocean.

Ban fishing during Monsoons, Save fishes for future.
